Dr. George Rambo, president of GR Consulting Services, Central, South Carolina, is one of the nation’s most sought after pest management consultants.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned his bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degrees, Rambo has worked with hundreds of pest management professionals during his distinguished career advising them on a variety of topics including training standards and procedures, pesticide safety and technical troubleshooting.

Rambo worked for the Maryland Department of Agriculture, Office of Pesticide Regulations, working closely with pest control companies. He also worked closely with the Cooperative Extension Service in preparing study information for certification.

In 1997, Rambo joined the National Pest Control Association as associate technical director and was named technical director a year later. In 1981, Rambo left to join Terminix International in Southern California and Arizona. He returned to NPMA and was responsible for directing allocation of NPCA research funds, staff direction for the Project Development Council, development of technical management releases and developing educational materials for training pest management professionals. In 1990, Rambo left NPCA and started his own consulting business.

Rambo has published numerous technical articles focusing on structural pest control, and is a columnist for PCT magazine. He is a recipient of a PCT Leadership Award (2001).

Rambo is a member of Pi Chi Omega, the honorary fraternity of pest management professionals, and is a board certified entomologist (B.C.E.)
